He remains active in all aspects of Car-Bio, from marketing to technology to production – to ensure a level of quality in services and products that exceeds customers’ expectations. He understands the dynamics of dealership operations and the needs of the sales staff. And, most importantly he understands the importance of the pre-owned profit center to dealership’s longevity and fiscal health.
"Successful dealers give their managers and sales people the tools to succeed"
John Perez is a visionary leader with broad-based automotive experience. He is resourceful and innovative, always searching out new ways to improve operations and elevate best-practices.
Born in Cuba, Perez earned a business degree from the University of Georgia and served overseas in the U.S. Army. Returning to civilian life, he began selling cars at Koons Ford in Washington D.C.
After moving back to Atlanta in 1973, he became the General Sales Manager of Akins Ford in the suburbs of Atlanta, with his leadership the dealership became one of the top volume Ford dealerships in Georgia. By 1976, Chrysler Corporation was looking for a strong dealer candidate to operate an underperforming Atlanta Dodge dealership. Perez became the Dealer/Operator of Dodge World in 1976 and within a short period the dealership became the highest volume Dodge dealership in the Southeast. In 1982 Perez purchased another underperforming Chrysler dealership in Atlanta and within 6 months Autoland Chrysler/Jeep became the largest volume Chrysler dealership in the Southeast. He continued operating these dealerships until 1992 when he sold them to a major Auto Group.
Realizing a need for his talents in the automotive sector, he founded his own consulting company to assist U.S. dealers with turnaround management services, operating as a consultant for over 5 years.
In 1998 Perez founded Crosslander USA to manufacture and distribute rugged 4x4 vehicles in Europe, Asia and South America. By 2006, Crosslander sold the manufacturing plant in Europe and the company received exclusive representation to import Mahinda vehicles to the U.S.
Presently, Perez is the President of CB Auto Group, Inc. which is the exclusive distributor for Car-Bio the only printed storybook and digital guide produced for each pre-owned vehicle in a dealerships inventory.
His passions away from work include boating, baseball and helping others; he is very involved with Home for the Homeless and similar programs through his church. His wife, Lyli and he have one teenage child and are actively involved in his school and baseball endeavors. John and his family live in Miami, Florida.
